In less than 100 days, athletes from all over the world will be competing in different events in four disciplines – cross-country skiing, biathlon, ski jumping and Nordic combined – at the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in China.

There are 12 events in cross-country skiing, the longest one is basically a marathon on snow.

Adding shooting to cross-country skiing creates a new discipline, biathlon, which has 11 events.

Some of the athletes will have a "flying" contest after descending from a specially designed ramp in five events of ski jumping.

And by putting cross-country skiing and ski jumping together, they will have another three events of Nordic combined to compete with each other.
