The Yellow River Wetland in Pinglu County of China's Shanxi Province is welcoming the year's first migratory wild swans.

These beautiful birds will spend the next four months at the wetland, one of the top winter habitats for swans in China and where they will enjoy sufficient food and warmer weather.  

More wild swans and other migratory birds are expected this year. 

Local forest bureau staff members patrol the area to make sure the birds spend a safe winter.
