The Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council said on Friday that the Chinese mainland will punish diehard Taiwan secessionists, prohibit them and their families from entering the Chinese mainland, the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions.

Their associated institutes are restricted from seeking business cooperation in the mainland, said Zhu Fenglian, a spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council.

Diehard Taiwan secessionists, including Su Tseng-chang, You Si-kun and Joseph Wum, have instigated cross-strait confrontation and maliciously smeared the mainland, said Zhu.

Their acts seriously damaged the interests of compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Straits and the fundamental interests of the Chinese nation, said Zhu.

The Chinese mainland will also pursue criminal liability on diehard Taiwan secessionists in accordance with the law, Zhu added.
