Russian media Sputnik on Friday reported that the German Foreign Ministry stated it was aware of the death of a Russian Embassy staffer in Berlin but refused to give any further details about the case for privacy reasons.

German magazine Der Spiegel reported that a man had fallen from an upper floor at the embassy, and the 35-year-old man's body was found early on October 19.
