A post-punk band, Rebuilding the Right of Statues, grabbed attention recently when it performed a music piece on Chinese TV featuring cosmic pulsar sound waves collected by China's Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope (FAST).

The piece "Tianyan," performed during the TV show "National Treasure," also incorporated sound samples such as chimes, steam cars and space rocket launches, to chart the history of human development in music.
