China issued the winter's first snowstorm orange alert on Sunday. The National Meteorological Centre forecast blizzards in northeastern China, with some regions getting heavy snow across the northern part of the country. China has a four-tier color-coded weather warning system, with red representing the most severe, followed by orange, yellow and blue.
