Thousands in Ethiopia join army to support government 


The situation in Ethiopia continues to worsen as the government on November 2 declared a state of emergency, urging residents of the capital Addis Ababa to arm themselves as rebel forces moved south to take more territories. Hundreds of thousands of Ethiopians converged along streets, stadiums and public squares in solidarity with the federal government, echoing their resentment against the Tigray People's Liberation Front.
