The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China reports to the Party's National Congress. The committee functions as the Party's highest organ of authority when the congress is not in session. CGTN's Global Watch invited Xia Lu, an associate professor at the School of Marxism Studies at Renmin University of China, to the studio, to discuss the role of the Party in China's century of struggle. Xia said that, CPC played key role in the past 100-year struggle aimed at national rejuvenation and China is a contributor to global peace and prosperity.
