Kuwait's government has resigned for the second time this year. Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah al-Khalid al-Sabah has submitted his cabinet's resignation letter to the ruling emir. Several opposition lawmakers have been insisting on questioning the premier on issues, like handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and corruption. The standoff has disrupted legislative work and hindered fiscal reform.
