Heavy snow in recent days has engulfed some regions of north and northeast China, including Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Liaoning Province.

Thirty-nine centimeters of snow had been reported in Liaoning's Anshan City as of 3 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Inner Mongolia's Tongliao City was hit by the strongest blizzard since local records began, with a snow accumulation of up to 50 cm been measured at the Kulun Banner meteorological observatory as of 7 a.m. on Monday.
