China urged the 14th Dalai Lama to stop activities aimed at splitting China and stop plotting and inciting violence, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said on Wednesday.

The so-called "Tibetan government-in-exile" is an illegal separatist political organization that is not recognized by any country, Wang said, adding that China's policy toward the Dalai Lama is clear and consistent and that the door for dialogue remains open to discuss 14th Dalai Lama's future.
