Chinese President Xi Jinping will hold a virtual meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden on Tuesday morning, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said on Saturday.

The presidents will exchange opinions on China-U.S. relations and issues of common concern, said Hua.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry said in October that the two countries had discussed holding a video summit between their leaders by the end of 2021. Xi and Biden have so far had two phone conversations this year.

At Friday's regular press briefing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said that he hopes the two countries will work together to make the meeting a success and bring China-U.S. ties back to the right track of sound and stable development.
