China donated 500,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine to Syria on November 14. Syrian Health Minister Hassan Muhammad Al-Ghabash and Chinese Ambassador to Syria Feng Biao attended the handover ceremony at the Syrian Ministry of Health.

"Syria and China signed an agreement to receive 500,000 doses of Chinese COVID-19 vaccine, which is a reflection of the development of good relations between the two governments and peoples," said the minister.

"China is the world's largest foreign provider of COVID-19 vaccine, most of which has been provided to developing countries, including Syria. China has already provided 800,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine to Syria, and China will also honor its commitment to deliver another 1 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine to the Syrian people. China will continue to help Syria fight the COVID-19 epidemic," the Chinese ambassador said.
