Expert: Free HPV vaccination to increase accessibility in China

Cervical cancer is among the most common cancers inflicting a large number of women globally. But it's easily preventable. Getting vaccinated against human papillomavirus (HPV) at an early age can reduce the risk of developing this cancer. The World Health Organization recently approved a Chinese HPV vaccine, and some regions in the country have begun providing it for free. Professor Hu Naijun from the School of Public Policy and Management at the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences shares with us his insights. He says that free HPV vaccination will increase accessibility.
