Chinese foreign ministry on Monday slammed Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez's trip to Taiwan. The ministry said that the one-China principle is a universally recognized norm of international relations and the universal consensus of the international community.

It is a trick of self-deception for Taiwan's Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authority to create an illusion of international support, which will not change the fact that Taiwan is a part of China and will not stop China's reunification, said the ministry's spokesperson Zhao Lijian at a regular briefing.
