U.S. officials have held top-level trade talks with Japanese counterparts in Tokyo. U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai and Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo made the Japanese capital the first stop on their separate trips through Asia. Washington says it's ready to discuss reducing 25 percent tariffs on steel and 10 percent aluminum tariffs imposed by the Trump administration in 2018.
