The Chinese mainland recorded 22 confirmed COVID-19 cases on Monday, with 11 linked to local transmissions and 11 from overseas, data from the National Health Commission showed on Tuesday.

In addition, 13 new asymptomatic cases were recorded, while 510 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

Confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland now total 98,337, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636 since January.

The latest tally of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 12,387 (12,092 recoveries, 213 deaths)

Macao: 77 (76 recoveries)

Taiwan: 16,496 (13,742 recoveries, 848 deaths)
