Pfizer strikes global licensing deal for oral COVID treatment

U.S. pharmaceutical giant Pfizer announced on Tuesday that it had signed a deal with the UN-backed Medicines Patent Pool to allow other manufacturers around the globe to make its COVID-19 drug.
