A Saudi-led coalition carried out a wide operation against targets in Yemen after intercepting and destroying a drone that attempted to attack Saudi Arabia's Abha international airport, Saudi state news agency SPA said early on Thursday.

The coalition was taking "operational measures to deal with the sources of hostile cross-border attacks," SPA reported.

In a statement, the coalition said it carried out 35 missions targeting Houthi militia in Marib and Al-Jawf areas within 24 hours, which killed more than 200 Houthi militia members and destroyed 24 military vehicles on-ground.
