The names of the two baby pandas at Beauval Zoo were revealed in central France on November 18 by Chinese Olympic gold medalist Zhang Jiaqi and French football star Kylian Mbappe. More than 122,000 French netizens have voted to choose Huan Lili and Yuan Dudu from five pairs of names for the panda twin cubs. The two names represent the friendship between France and China as well as the wish for good health for the cubs. The zoo also stressed that the birth and healthy growth of Yuan Dudu and Huan Lili could not have been possibly achieved without the close cooperation of the Chinese and French teams.
