One person was killed and three people were injured in a shooting and stabbing attack at the Chain Gate in Jerusalem's Old City on Sunday morning, local media reported citing the police. 

The Hamas militant group confirmed that the man identified by Israel as the assailant was its member.

The attack was carried out by two people, one armed with a gun and the other with a knife. The shooter has been killed, but the attacker armed with a knife is still on the run, according to the Israel Police.
