Minor Snow, or Xiaoxue in Chinese, is the 20th solar term on the traditional Chinese calendar, and it falls on November 22 this year.
It signifies the arrival of piercing cold, a fall in precipitation and a rise in snowfalls. In this term, the growing cold air encourages the frequent northwestern wind in many parts of China.
