On Monday, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said that his country would allow entry for fully-vaccinated international students and certain other visa holders into the country from December 1 without applying for a travel exemption as the government takes further steps to restart international travel.

"The return of skilled workers and students to Australia is a major milestone in our pathway back," Morrison told reporters in Canberra as he announced the categories, which also include refugee visas, humanitarian visas and working holiday visas.

But the visitors may still be asked to undergo quarantine depending on which state they land in.
