Paris Saint-Germain's Lionel Messi, Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo and Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski were among the candidates shortlisted for The Best FIFA men's award 2021.
The nominees for The Best FIFA women's award include four Barcelona stars and four Chelsea representatives, with Ellen White, Sam Kerr, Ji So-yun and Magdalena Eriksson in contention.
A public vote will be open on FIFA's website until December 10, and the winner will be announced during a virtual ceremony from FIFA headquarters in Zurich on January 17, 2022.
