The heavy snowfalls have led to all classes moving online. Airports in some cities were closed on Monday as runways were frozen, while in Harbin, the provincial capital, over 70 percent of flights were canceled. /CFP

Local urban management authorities have deployed thousands of pieces of snow clearance equipment in cities and the weather service also issued an advance guide to avoid potential snow disasters. /CFP
