China's first independent deep-water gas field registers peak daily output

China's "Deep Sea No. 1" natural gas field has registered a maximum production volume of 10 million cubic meters per day, officials announced on Wednesday. The project, located in waters off south China's island province of Hainan, is the country's first independent 1,500-meter deep-water gas field.
