WHO urges vaccinated people to continue to take precautions
00:53

The World Health Organization says COVID-19 vaccines reduce virus transmission by about 60 percent. But it drops to only 40 percent with the arrival of the Delta variant. WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned that people were falling into a false sense of security that vaccines have ended the pandemic. He urged people to continue to take precautions to avoid catching or spreading COVID-19 even if they are vaccinated.
