7.5-magnitude quake hits Peru: USGS

A revised 7.5-magnitude earthquake jolted northern Peru, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

The quake struck about 42 kilometres north of Barranca, Peru, with the epicenter at a depth of 112.5 kilometres, the USGS said. 

No tsunami warning was issued and there are no immediate reports on damages and casualties.
