Nineteen confirmed COVID-19 cases and one asymptomatic case were registered in the China-Russia border city of Manzhouli in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on Sunday as of 4:00 p.m., according to local officials.

Among the 19 confirmed cases, two had been listed as asymptomatic on Saturday, the regional health commission said in a statement.

The others, including the new asymptomatic case, were detected during nucleic acid testing for people under centralized isolation and observation in Manzhouli, said the commission.

All of them have been transferred to designated hospitals for isolation treatment and medical observation, it said.

The National Health Commission (NHC) and its disease control bureau have sent a group to Inner Mongolia to offer guidance in dealing with the pandemic, CCTV reported on Sunday.
