Japan will ban new entry of foreigners from around the world starting November 30 over concerns of the spreading Omicron coronavirus variant, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida announced Monday.
Under the new rules, Japan will expand border restrictions on short-term business travelers, international students and technical intern trainees from nine countries, including South Africa, to the world, broadcaster NTV said.
