With 50 six-meter railway containers mustered on Tuesday morning in Kunming City of southwest China's Yunnan Province, the first international freight train for China-Laos Railway was ready to depart. Packed with dicalcium phosphate in feed grade, these containers will be sent to Vientiane in Laos when the railway starts operation in early December. The railway commenced construction in December 2015. It connects Kunming with Laos' capital city of Vientiane. The China-Laos Railway project is actually a section of the Kunming-Singapore Railway project, which connects Kunming with Singapore, passing through Laos, Thailand and Malaysia.
