Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, will hold a virtual meeting with Thongloun Sisoulith, president of Laos and general secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee, on December 3.

The two leaders will witness the official opening ceremony of the China-Laos Railway via video link, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying announced on Wednesday.
