From December 3, ground travel between China and Laos will be much cheaper and more accessible. Tickets for the China-Laos railway are now available for sale ahead of its launch on Friday. The high-speed rail stretches from Kunming, the capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province, to the Laos capital of Vientiane. Part of the Belt and Road initiative, the 8.7-billion U.S. dollar project extends over a thousand kilometers and took five years to build.
