Kim Jong Un, top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), presided on Wednesday over a ruling party Politburo session that decided to convene the 4th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea at the end of December, the state-run KCNA reported.

The meeting will review the implementation of major Party and state policies for 2021, and decide work plans for the coming year, KCNA added.

"Next year will be an important one as we should wage a very giant struggle, as much as we did this year," Kim said.
