00:43

China and South Korea have agreed to strengthen high-level exchanges and deepen cooperation in trade, culture, anti-virus efforts and other areas. The consensus was reached when senior Chinese diplomat Yang Jiechi met with South Korea's National Security Advisor Suh Hoon in the northern Chinese city of Tianjin on Thursday. Noting that next year will mark 30 years of diplomatic ties, Yang said China is willing to build a more stable strategic and cooperative partnership and will keep playing a constructive role in realizing long-term stability on the peninsula. Suh Hoon said South Korea is willing to work with China to advance regional cooperation and safeguard multilateralism.
