China and South Korea have agreed to strengthen high-level exchanges and deepen cooperation in fields such as trade, culture, and anti-virus efforts. The consensus was made when senior Chinese diplomat Yang Jiechi met with South Korea's National Security Advisor Suh Hoon in northern Chinese city of Tianjin on Thursday. Noting that next year will mark 30 years of diplomatic ties, Yang said China is willing to build a more stable strategic and cooperative partnership and will keep playing a constructive role in realizing long-term stability on the peninsula.
