Chinese President Xi Jinping called for enhancing cooperation with Latin American and Caribbean states when addressing the third Ministerial Meeting of the Forum of China and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (China-CELAC Forum) via video link on Friday.
Facing the turbulence worldwide, Xi said that both China and Latin American and Caribbean states are focusing on the economic recovery in post-pandemic era.
China welcomes Latin American and Caribbean countries to actively participate in the Global Development Initiative and work together with China to overcome difficulties, create opportunities and push forward a global community of development with shared future.
Stressing that peaceful development, fairness and justice, and win-win cooperation is the correct path, Xi said China and Latin American and Caribbean states are comprehensive cooperative partners following the principle of equality, mutual benefit and common development.
He called on Latin American and Caribbean states to inject new impetus to cooperation between the two sides and make new contribution to the well-being of their peoples as well as the noble cause of mankind.
