The so-called concept of "democracy of the world" is a pseudoconcept concocted by a few countries. It is the common value of humanity and a common right of all people, not a patent by a select group, said Xu Lin, director of the State Council Information Office (SCIO). 

The SCIO held a press conference on Saturday, to introduce a white paper titled "China: Democracy That Works."
