The first international freight train from Chengdu-Chongqing to Vientiane running on the China-Laos Express Railway left China on Saturday. The train will run through southwest China's Yunnan Province before reaching its final destination in the Lao capital, Vientiane. It is carrying light commercial trucks, motorcycle parts and nuts, among others. Chinese exports to Vientiane used to rely on road deliveries, taking about 10 days. The China-Laos Railway cuts that down to three days.
