00:32

Norway has reported at least 13 cases of Omicron infection, the biggest outbreak outside southern Africa. The new cases are linked to a corporate Christmas party held in the capital Oslo, which was attended by the country's first known case infected with the latest variant of the COVID-19. The party was organized by a renewable energy company, which has operations in South Africa. Officials say the infections could rise to over 60. Norway has reintroduced nationwide restrictions to curb the spread of the virus following the discovery of the Omicron variant in the country on Thursday.
