The Chinese mainland Olympics delegation has attended a reception and banquet hosted by the Hong Kong government. Carrie Lam, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, delivered a speech to welcome the Olympians. She said the visit boosts Hong Kong people's national pride and sense of belonging to the nation. Lam said the outstanding achievements of Chinese athletes at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games have encouraged many people in Hong Kong to take up sports.
