Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands has tested positive for COVID-19, the Dutch Government Information Service (RVD) announced on Saturday.

The 83-year-old former queen was tested after complaining of a mild cold. She is now in isolation at home, and persons who have been in close contact with her have been informed.

Beatrix confirmed last week that she had already received her booster shot.
