Rescue work continues in Indonesia, as the death toll from a volcanic eruption on Java Island has risen to 34. At least 17 others remain missing. Authorities have deployed aid and rescue dogs to assist search operations. They say nearly 4,000 people have been evacuated since Mount Semeru erupted on Saturday, ejecting ash high into the sky and raining down hot mud. The disaster swallowed homes and blanketed entire villages in toxic ash.
