The administration of U.S. President Joe Biden said Monday that it will not send any U.S. officials to the 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics in Beijing. However, the so-called diplomatic boycott only serves to politicize sports, thereby hurting the Olympic spirit and putting unnecessary pressure on athletes.
