The Polish government announced renewed COVID-19 restrictions on Tuesday aimed at curbing the proliferation of the Omicron variant.
From December 15, restaurants, bars and hotels will be permitted to host at 30 percent capacity unless patrons can show proof of vaccination by scanning a relevant QR code.
Dance halls and nightclubs will be required to shut down entirely, and public transport will run at 75 percent capacity. New Year's parties will be allowed, but the number of attendees will be capped at 100.
