Shao Yue is China's national wheelchair-dancing champion. She hopes her story can help change perceptions of the disabled in East China's Shanghai. Shao trains with other wheelchair dancers, as well as  people with hearing or visual impairments. 

The troupe aims to combat stigmas by giving disabled people a platform to express themselves through art. In recent years, local governments have increased the number of fitness programs available to the disabled and invested in building dedicated sporting facilities and training instructors.
