China's gross domestic product (GDP) exceeded 100 trillion yuan ($15.42 trillion) for the first time in 2020 to reach 101.59 trillion yuan. That same year, China's top leaders proposed the "dual circulation" development pattern to anchor the future development of the nation's economy. Why does this development paradigm matter to China's economy?
