The Hongdu L-15 is a supersonic advanced jet trainer independently developed and produced in China. It's a two-seat, twin-engine model designed to satisfy the training needs of qualified pilots. With characteristics of a third-generation fighter aircraft, it has adopted the aerodynamic profile of large strakes, the structure of a blended wing body, and an advanced fly-by-wire flight control system. The L-15 can satisfy a pilot's introductory combat training needs, and it has a design life of over 10,000 hours. It can also be equipped with weapon systems for active combat service if necessary.
