A herd of elephants was found with a new calf during routine monitoring by local staff in Pu'er City in southwestern China's Yunnan Province, increasing the number of members in the herd to ten. Given the herd was roaming relatively close to farmland and villages, efforts are being made to avoid man-animal conflict.
