Under the COVID-19 pandemic, we need more than ever a comprehensive global approach to respond to the needs of civil society, Vladimir Norov, secretary-general of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), said Wednesday at the South-South Human Rights Forum in Beijing.

Norov also called on the international community to promote the protection of vulnerable groups and praised China's efforts in supporting other developing countries in fighting the pandemic.
